• Overview;

    I have accomplished my journey in Islamic Studies, with a prolific research portfolio that spans several key areas of the discipline. My expertise includes:

  • Hadith Studies: I have extensively explored the scientific and methodological interpretations of Hadiths, with a focus on the works of classical commentators and scholars like Ibn Hajar Al-Asqalani and Allama Ahmad Shakir. My research delves into the principles of Hadith criticism, transmission, and the linguistic intricacies found in primary Hadith literature.
  • Qur’anic Exegesis: I have contributed significantly to understanding the methodologies employed by early Islamic scholars (Tābi’īn) in interpreting the Qur’an. My work also includes critical studies on specific Qur’anic commentators and the rationalized and theoretical discourses that have shaped Qur’anic interpretation across Islamic history.
  • Islamic Jurisprudence: My research covers a wide range of topics within Islamic law, including issues of female employment, contemporary financial transactions, and the application of Shariah in modern contexts. As I have critically examined the methodologies of Islamic jurists and the jurisprudential principles guiding various schools of thought.
  • Socio-Religious Issues: I have tackled contemporary socio-religious challenges through the lens of Islamic teachings, including the rights of non-Muslims in Islamic states, domestic violence, and the impacts of global environmental changes. My work often bridges classical Islamic thought with modern ethical and social dilemmas.
  • Islamic History and Thought: My work also extends to historical analysis, particularly in the context of Islamic civilization’s interactions with other cultures and the development of Islamic thought in response to external influences.

In summary, my research is characterized by its depth, methodological rigour, and relevance to both classical and contemporary issues within Islamic scholarship.
